Beattie not the man for Sunderland

The Horse’s drop in standards…

Geoff Horsfield is also reportedly on the verge of a move across the city to Sheffield Wednesday, and if the deal is completed no doubt the Horse will encounter the biggest lowering of standards since Naomi Campbell was sentenced to community service.

Halmosi confirmed as target

Peter Halmosi is the latest name linked with a move to Bramall Lane after Kevin Blackwell confirmed that the Plymouth Argyle midfielder is on his list of possible transfer targets.

£5m tag on striker’s head

Sheffield United’s summer squad-building is still on hold after manager Kevin Blackwell confirmed that John Halls will not be joining The Blades.
